Lynette, a 55-year-old mother from Michigan, went missing while sailing in the Bahamas with Brian on their boat, ‘Soulmate.’ Brian reported on April 4 that Lynette fell from a dinghy. He later retrieved his wedding ring and watch from the Central Police Station in Freeport, Bahamas, after being released from questioning. Authorities in the Bahamas initially detained him for questioning but released him, allowing his return to the U.S. in mid-April.
Donna Hooker, despite knowing Brian for decades, has not been contacted by investigators. She believes her insights could be helpful in Lynette’s disappearance case. She shared her observations with a local newspaper, saying Brian was intelligent yet reserved. During his teenage years in the 1980s, he lived with her and tended to keep to himself.
Efforts to reach Brian over the years became challenging. Donna Hooker and her late husband George, Brian’s father, tried contacting him through his sister, Jennifer, who resides in California. Donna last saw Brian in April 2022 when he visited following George’s stroke. She became aware of Lynette’s disappearance through a family member who prompted her to watch the news.
