President Trump’s Annual Physical Exam Results Released

On Friday night, the White House released the results of President Donald Trump’s annual physical exam. Earlier in the week, Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his yearly checkup. The examination included consultations with 22 specialty providers from various academic institutions.

Exam Results

The memo detailed Trump’s vitals: a weight of 238 pounds, blood pressure at 105/71 mmHg, and a temperature of 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit. An eye exam showed no issues, and the ear, nose, and throat exam was normal, aside from scarring on his right ear due to a prior gunshot injury.

Cardiac Health

Trump’s physician, Captain Sean P. Barbabella, reported that an AI-enhanced ECG analysis indicated Trump’s cardiac age is about 14 years younger than his actual age. Trump will turn 80 on June 14. The memo stated, “Overall, cardiac function is normal, and circulation to the extremities remains intact.”

Context and Comments

  • The physical exam results came amid ongoing attention to Trump’s health and appearance.
  • His medical team reiterated that there are no underlying health concerns related to the appearance of his hands.
  • Captain Barbabella previously commented on Trump’s excellent health, mentioning robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function.

Previously, the White House attributed visible discoloration and apparent bruising on Trump’s hands to frequent handshaking, aspirin use, and minor soft-tissue irritation. Barbabella noted on Friday that bruising is “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation” and is a “benign effect” of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.

Additional Notes

The memo also reported slight lower leg swelling, which is said to be an improvement from the previous year. Captain Barbabella concluded by stating that Trump “remains in excellent health” and is “fully fit to carry out all duties” as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.
