Country singer Brian “Nashville” Duckworth died at the age of 56 on September 7. According to an obituary from his family, Duckworth passed away at his home. He was not only a musician but also worked as a dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating, leading to his nickname, “Truck Boss.” His family highlighted his love for the outdoors, which his job allowed him to enjoy daily.
Music played a vital role in Duckworth’s life. He performed with his family band, Taylor Made, and never missed a chance to share his voice, gaining the nickname “Nashville.” Duckworth started singing with his brother Greg and sister Wendy Williams, forming a band named I-79 in 2008. They debuted at the Colgate Country Showdown and later changed their name to Taylor Made. The band became known for songs like “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,” which reached No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart.
Above all, Brian treasured his family and the special memories they created together. His love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Brian is survived by his wife Tina of nearly 16 years, his six children Zach, Ashton, Logan, Kayla, Michael, and Matt, his four grandchildren, and five siblings. His obituary noted the bond he shared with his family and his devoted fur family.
His niece, Brianna Duckworth Kazner, shared a memory on Facebook from her wedding, expressing disbelief that it was “the last time Taylor Made sang together.” She recounted growing up watching her father, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Brian perform, eventually joining them herself as she matured. She remembered her Uncle Brian as someone who helped her overcome songwriting blocks.
Duckworth will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Garden on Monday. A cause of death was not disclosed in the obituary.
