Rick Harrison, known for his role in “Pawn Stars,” recently faced unexpected health challenges. Initially scheduled for a routine medical procedure, doctors discovered he required emergency bypass surgery instead. According to a spokesperson for the Harrison family, he is resting comfortably and anticipates a full recovery with optimism.
Grateful for the care he received, Harrison expressed appreciation for the hospital staff and the support of his wife, Angie, and family. The importance of his family’s presence during this time has been significant for Harrison, especially as he navigates his recovery.
Harrison had previously shared his happiness and newfound love with Agripina “Angie” Polushkin, whom he married on January 3 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Their ceremony was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
Prior to this health scare, Harrison discussed personal challenges, including the tragic loss of his son Adam to a fentanyl overdose in January 2024, and his mother Joanne Harrison’s passing in November 2025. Despite these hardships, Harrison emphasized the importance of having Angie by his side during those tough periods.
Harrison recounted how he and Angie connected from their first meeting, highlighting her intelligence and genuine nature. He shared, “I started talking to her, and you have a conversation with her. She’s really smart. I’m kind of an egghead myself. I read books on physics for fun.” Their mutual appreciation for knowledge and authenticity strengthened their bond.
For those who may doubt finding love later in life, Harrison shared encouraging advice. “It’s all about being happy,” he said. “Life is amazing if you choose to make it amazing. It’s a wonderful world.”
