Greg Gutfeld Reacts to AOC’s Split from Fiancé

Greg Gutfeld discusses the news of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s breakup with her long-term partner, Riley Roberts. Gutfeld humorously speculates that the Congresswoman might end up marrying a police officer next. This comes after TMZ questioned Ocasio-Cortez outside Capitol Hill about whether she would consider dating someone with conservative views.

When asked if dating a conservative was possible for her, Ocasio-Cortez responded with laughter, stating, “Um, I’d have to say… probably not.” She elaborated, saying that for her, politics is often about shared values, making alignment in these values critically important.

The idea of dating someone with different political views was less controversial in the past, as demonstrated by Democratic strategist James Carville, who is married to former GOP consultant Mary Matalin. Carville had previously talked with Fox News Digital on the topic, noting that he chose not to limit himself to Democratic women when seeking companionship. He implied that broadening his dating pool was partly out of necessity.

Carville advised young progressives, such as Ocasio-Cortez, to adopt a more pragmatic approach to dating and life in general. He suggested that heeding such advice could contribute to personal happiness and electoral success. Carville emphasized, “Get over your preening and your moral superiority, and the more pragmatic in how you approach life, you’ll end up being a lot happier, and you’ll actually win an election.”
