The United States has conducted significant military strikes on Iranian positions close to the Strait of Hormuz. This information was shared by President Donald Trump on Tuesday via Truth Social.
According to Trump, these actions served as a response to Iran’s unsuccessful attempt to deploy sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz. The sea mines, reported to have been fully removed and detonated, prompted the U.S. attack. In addition, the strikes were in retaliation to an Iranian missile launch targeting an American military base in Jordan.
Trump issued a warning against any Iranian counteraction, stating, “they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level.” Although he indicated that this would not constitute the most intense U.S. military response, which he suggested is still forthcoming. He ominously concluded by noting that, upon completion of any such future attacks, “there will be very little left” of Iran.
