Kayleigh McEnany Criticizes Supreme Court’s Birthright Citizenship Decision

Fox News co-host, Kayleigh McEnany, strongly criticized the Supreme Court’s decision on birthright citizenship, referring to it as a ‘travesty’. McEnany expressed concerns about the issue of ‘birth tourism’, particularly from countries like China. She argues that foreign nationals are exploiting the system to secure U.S. citizenship for their children, a practice she believes was not intended by the nation’s founders.

Other cultural personalities are engaging in immigration matters, such as Grammy-winning country singer, Kacey Musgraves. On the opening night of her ‘Middle of Nowhere’ tour in Chicago, Musgraves urged her fans to donate to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights in lieu of gifts for her birthday. She praised the nonprofit for providing legal aid and support to children whose parents were deported. Musgraves emphasized that the matter wasn’t politically driven, but focused on helping children in need.

The Young Center operates from Chicago and aims to assist unaccompanied and separated immigrant children in government custody. Their priorities include reuniting families, freeing children from detention, conducting fair proceedings, and serving the best interests of the children involved.

The nonprofit assisted 1,975 children from 53 different countries in 2024, initiating 1,388 new cases. According to their 2025 report, the average detention time for children climbed from 30 days to 198 days, with requests for assistance from detained parents quadrupling.

Musgraves, who previously announced collaborative efforts with the Young Center, extended her support by selling pieces from her wardrobe through the resale platform Depop, with proceeds going to the charity. Her clothing launch on Depop included items from music videos and tours.

In further support, Musgraves invited three brothers, ages 18, 14, and 12, to open shows in Texas after their family was released from ICE custody. The family, originally fleeing violence in Mexico, accessed the U.S. through the now-defunct CBP One appointment system, seeking asylum. According to reports, the DHS acknowledged the family’s entry as illegal but clarified that they were released per current administration policies.

As ICE enforcement hits record levels, the DHS reported escalating immigration arrests, with approximately 51,000 in July surpassing the previous record of 43,000 in June. DHS continually reinforces its commitment by arresting and deporting dangerous illegal aliens from the country.

Musgraves’ North American arena tour commenced with Midland as the opening act, with dates extending through October. The event in Chicago marked the beginning of her tour.
