Michael Alfonso Responds to Carville’s Warning on Far-Left Progressives

Michael Alfonso, a candidate for Congress in Wisconsin’s 7th District, shared his thoughts on James Carville’s warning to Democrats about the influence of far-left progressives like Hasan Piker. Alfonso appeared on ‘Fox & Friends First’ to discuss the result of key primaries and their impact on the upcoming midterm elections. He emphasized how issues such as inflation and economic challenges drive voter concerns, arguing that conservative solutions are more appealing to everyday Americans.

Michael Alfonso, son-in-law to Sean Duffy, former Secretary of the Department of Transportation, and Rachel Campos-Duffy, a Fox News host, secured the Republican nomination in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. Backed by former President Donald Trump, the 26-year-old triumphed over several contenders for the congressional seat once occupied by his father-in-law from 2011 to 2019.

“It is my Great Honor to endorse MAGA Warrior, Michael Alfonso, a young ‘STAR’ who is running to represent the incredible people of Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District,” Trump declared on Truth Social.

President Trump praised Alfonso’s campaign promises, which include bolstering the economy, reducing taxes and regulations, and supporting American-made products. Other goals involve securing the border, fighting crime linked to migration, backing the military, protecting elections, and defending the Second Amendment.

Democratic establishment successfully countered a socialist candidate in a primary seen as a battleground election. The seat, held by Rep. Tom Tiffany since May 2020, originally belonged to Alfonso’s father-in-law, who resigned for family reasons. The district has been Republican for 15 years and is considered a Republican stronghold. Trump captured 60% of the district’s vote during the 2024 elections.

Alfonso, in his run to Congress, is set to compete against Fred Clark in November. Clark, who won the Democratic primary, is a former Wisconsin state assemblyman. He expressed his vision of forming a rural majority based on real community concerns, transcending traditional political divides.

Clark’s campaign emphasizes representing community interests and holding elected officials accountable, as stated on his campaign website. As both parties prepare for the elections, the battle for this congressional seat is gaining attention.
