Avoiding Contact: My Three-Day Isolation from Mammals

Avoiding Contact: My Three-Day Isolation from Mammals

In June, I spent three days avoiding contact with mammals due to a unique situation. I confined myself to a small, run-down motel room. This setting evoked the image of an old-time fugitive evading capture.

Outside, the scene was bleak, with the view overshadowed by a nearby dump. I ensured my sleep was disturbed as little as possible by positioning myself at the foot of the bed. This decision aimed to minimize any potential threat I represented to others, especially if anyone rested nearby.

My isolation required particular caution around pregnant women and young children under the age of ten. Their well-being was a priority, guiding my actions and choices during this unusual period.
