Paramedic’s Testimony on Lindsay Clancy
Robert Costanzo, a paramedic from the Pembroke Fire Department, testified about his experience treating Lindsay Clancy after she jumped from a window in her Duxbury home. He observed that Clancy was agitated and unresponsive, despite administering Narcan, a medication typically used to counteract drug overdoses. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington queried whether Costanzo was aware of Clancy’s spine injury, which Costanzo admitted he did not.

Prosecutor Jennifer Sprague aimed to demonstrate to jurors that Costanzo did not observe any significant bleeding from Clancy’s injuries during their time in the ambulance.
First Responders’ Accounts of the Children’s Injuries
Duxbury firefighters Patrick Dwyer and Jennifer Stratton provided harrowing details about the injuries of Clancy’s children on the night of the tragedy. They recounted finding the children, aged 5 years, 8 months, and 3 years respectively, with Patrick Dwyer noting the pale appearance of Cora, the eldest child.
Stratton vividly described her immediate call for more ambulances and the actions taken to provide care.
Defense attorney Kevin Reddington did not cross-examine Dwyer or Stratton.
Testimony from Fire Department Personnel
Duxbury Fire Captain Keith Nette took the stand briefly, recalling his involvement in performing chest compressions on the children. Nette’s testimony lasted around ten minutes.
Firefighter Loring “Chuck” Nudd also shared his experiences upon arrival at the scene. He highlighted seeing Dawson Clancy being carried by a police officer and the subsequent medical actions taken.
Chaotic Scene Recounted by Duxbury Battalion Chief
Battalion Chief PJ Hussey testified about the chaotic environment upon entering the Clancy home. He recounted Patrick Clancy’s actions and the use of exercise bands involved in the incident.
Hussey called for all available personnel to assist due to the overwhelming nature of the scene.
During this testimony, defense attorney Reddington did not pose any questions.
Police Officer’s Observations
Officer Brian Josephine of the Duxbury Police Department spoke about witnessing Patrick Clancy shouting about the horrific discovery of his children’s deaths. Josephine completed his testimony without questions from the defense.

Upcoming Jury Visit
The trial proceedings outlined that jurors, attorneys, and the judge will visit the Clancy’s former home on Summer Street in Duxbury. The visit will allow parties to inspect certain areas inside the residence, under specific court orders to avoid disturbing any items therein.
About the Case
If Lindsay Clancy is convicted of first-degree murder, she could be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. Alternatively, if deemed not criminally responsible, she may be committed to a state mental health facility.
