The anticipation is over for NFL Draft standout Cameron Rose Newell. As she progresses into her third year in the league, she now sports an engagement ring. This new chapter unfolded when Las Vegas Raiders’ tight end Brock Bowers proposed to his long-term girlfriend.
This engagement means Newell will kick off the regular season with the title of fiancée. On Thursday, she took to Instagram to share a video of the surprise proposal, expressing, “The best surprise of my life, right where it all started. Can’t wait to spend forever with you.”
The couple’s story dates back to their high school years, as reported by People. Even while attending different colleges, Bowers in Georgia and Newell in Tennessee, they maintained their relationship. Both entered the NFL together during the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, with Newell catching some of the spotlight.
Credit goes to OutKick’s Zach Dean for his detailed draft analysis. The couple attended the Sports Illustrated and Tight End University Host Tight Ends & Friends event at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 23, 2026.
Bowers’ journey in the NFL has been challenging, with the Raiders finishing last in the AFC West in his first two seasons. A knee injury last year put him on the injury reserve list. However, he has taken part in offseason activities, and with his proposal, he aims for a turnaround in his career.
Both attended the 2026 ACM Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 17, 2026. As the Raiders look to improve on their record of three wins last season, the prospects seem promising.
Congratulations are extended to the tight end star and his influencer fiancée.
