During the Group of Seven summit in France, U.S. President Donald Trump engaged in discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This meeting took place amid the backdrop of Russia’s ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which has continued to attract the attention of Washington.
The summit featured key leaders, including France’s Emmanuel Macron. However, President Trump conveyed a sense of frustration regarding the persistent war, stating that the issue was not a direct concern for the United States due to the geographical distance, describing the conflict as being “thousands of miles away.”
Despite the conflict’s recurring prominence in international affairs, Trump suggested that its impact on the United States remains limited by geography.
