The couple dated for nearly five years and were once engaged before ending their relationship mutually and respectfully.
Reflecting on her engagement, Dobrev shared in Vogue in October 2024 that she was caught off guard. She believed Shaun White’s proposal was an invite to a CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour. Dobrev recounted her surprise, saying, I was in a panic that Anna’s waiting for me.
Upon realizing it was a proposal, she went into shock and could only stare at him.
