Pro Bowl linebacker Micah Parsons is ready to return to the field for the upcoming NFL season after an injury cut last season short. Parsons, who played for the Green Bay Packers, tore his ACL against the Denver Broncos, sidelining him for the remainder of the season and the NFL Playoff game.
In that postseason matchup, Caleb Williams led the Chicago Bears to victory over the Packers. Parsons remained on the sidelines, unable to influence the game. As the new season approaches, the NFL will release its top 100 players list, and Parsons made headlines for his one-word comment in a promotional video. In the teaser, players name the top player in their opinion, and Parsons said, “Iceman,” referring to Williams.
Afterward, Parsons explained the comment was misunderstood. He praised Williams for his achievements, remarking on his improved decision-making and confidence. Expressing admiration for success, Parsons stated, “I always want to see people succeed, regardless of who they play for,” though he jokingly added, “Just don’t want to see you succeed against me.”
In a recent NFL clip, Parsons warned, “Where there’s ice, there’s also fire, and I’m the fire.” This illustrates his competitive drive, particularly in the Bears-Packers rivalry. The Bears excelled last season, winning against Green Bay in both a regular-season OT and a playoff game, but Parsons was absent due to injury.
Chicago finished 11-6, winning the NFC North and securing the No. 2 seed. Green Bay ended 9-7-1, with injuries, including Parsons and quarterback Jordan Love, impacting their performance. Parsons participated in the teams’ first meeting last season, a 28-21 win for Green Bay, recording a tackle. Teammate Kingsley Enagbare had the game’s only sack on Williams.
During their second regular-season game, Chicago triumphed 22-16 in overtime without Parsons, due to his injury. He aims to return by Week 5 or Week 6, possibly participating in the key rivalry games during the 2026-27 campaign.
