President Trump Praises Jaxson Dart Amid Criticism

President Donald Trump expressed admiration for New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart during an interview on Saturday. Dart, in his second year, faced negative reactions after introducing Trump at a New York event.

Appearing on “My View with Lara Trump,” the former president addressed the backlash towards Dart. “First of all, I wished I looked just like Jaxson,” Trump remarked. “Is he a male model? He’s a handsome guy, like a beautiful guy, conservative guy. He said, ‘I love you, sir.’ I didn’t know he was doing it.” Trump praised Dart’s potential as a quarterback and highlighted his early career achievements, stating, “He’s potentially a great quarterback. He’s a young boy. He just really started, but when he’s in a game, he moves the team.”

Trump also reminded the audience about his victory in the 2024 presidential election against Kamala Harris, emphasizing his popular vote win and widespread support.

Dart received criticism from teammate Abdul Carter for his decision to introduce Trump. “Some things are bigger than football,” Carter said. “Jaxson is one of our leaders. He’s the face of our franchise…but if he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, I have to show that I’m against that.”

Dart addressed his reasoning for introducing Trump, citing his upbringing and family history of military service as influencing factors. “This was a unique opportunity, you know…to introduce the President of the United States,” Dart explained. “I’ve always loved this country. I have extended family members who have fought wars…my intentions were just that.”

The anticipation for the 2026 season grows as Dart continues to navigate his football career amid public scrutiny.
