Details of Bruneau’s Death
Bruneau, a flight attendant, had bought a Dallas house with her friend Thelma. All three, including Brown, worked at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The arrangement stipulated the mortgage responsibility if one married. Thelma married Brown, causing issues, leading to their pressuring Bruneau regarding the agreement. After a suspicious fire and confrontation with Brown, Bruneau refused to sign fraudulent insurance forms. Days before her murder, Larry and she had a confrontation.
The Crime Scene and Brown’s Involvement
Bruneau was found lifeless by her boyfriend in her living room. She had sustained injuries indicating a struggle. Though not sexually assaulted, fingerprint smudges hinted at an altercation. Bruneau’s boyfriend had an alibi, and Thelma was on an international flight at the murder time.

In 2010, investigators reviewed Bruneau’s preserved nightgown, identifying a male DNA profile. In 2023, analysis of DNA samples from Brown’s trash matched the male DNA on her nightgown. This breakthrough resulted in Brown’s arrest, pointing to his significant involvement in the murder.
