US Men’s National Team Prepares for World Cup
Fox News chief correspondent Jonathan Hunt sat down with Alex Freeman, the youngest member of the U.S. Men’s National Team, on ‘America Reports’ to discuss their World Cup preparations.
Norway Team’s Viking-Themed Photoshoot
The Norwegian team has created a stir with their Viking-themed photoshoot as they head to the United States for the World Cup. This theme pays homage to the journey of their Viking ancestors who crossed the Atlantic over a thousand years ago. The team’s outfits resemble those from the ‘Vikings’ television series.
Photographer David Yarrow, known in the UK, orchestrated the photoshoot. He aims to capture subjects in unique and unexpected ways. ‘I like to take people outside of how they’re normally photographed,’ Yarrow shared with The Athletic. He embraced the Viking theme to evoke a sense of historical journey to America.
One standout from the shoot is Erling Braut Haaland, the Manchester City striker, adorned in Viking attire complete with sword and shield.
Norway’s Historic Qualification
The Instagram handle of Norway’s football team shared the captivating photo with the caption, ‘Norway is coming.’ This World Cup appearance marks Norway’s first in 28 years and only their fourth qualification ever.
Group I Visuals: Norway vs. France
The photo stirred comparisons with their Group I rivals, France. Norway’s creative and bold theme stands in stark contrast to France’s lackluster presentation. The image of France, particularly with Rayan Cherki, was perceived as unflattering by some observers.
This shoot by Yarrow is regarded as a triumph of creativity, reminiscent of his earlier American-themed photoshoot featuring the European Ryder Cup team. Norway’s World Cup journey begins against Iraq on June 16 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
