D.C. United achieved a morale-boosting victory with two early goals, marking only their fourth win since May.
On Wednesday night, United’s striker Tai Baribo celebrated a successful penalty kick against the New York Red Bulls. This performance followed a tough 4-0 defeat to Inter Miami. Coach Rene Weiler expressed a desire for his team to demonstrate improvement against the Red Bulls, a match-up he believed was more equitable.
The team responded positively, delivering a performance that aligned with the coach’s expectations.
