President Donald Trump delivered a strong message to Arizona voters, warning that Democrats would “destroy our country.” Speaking in Bullhead City, Trump emphasized the importance of turning Arizona fully Republican as the election approached.
During his rally, Trump voiced support for Rep. Andy Biggs, the Republican candidate for governor, and other GOP contenders. He specifically targeted Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs, urging voters to secure a victory for Charlie Kirk. Trump declared, “On election night, Arizona will show that America belongs to those who truly love it.”
Andy Biggs accompanied Trump onstage, referring to the president’s past State of the Union address where he criticized Democrats for not standing in support of American values. Biggs encouraged the audience to “Vote Republican top to bottom” and turn the state red.
Trump criticized Democrats for their lack of support during a State of the Union moment honoring veterans. He claimed, “Not one Democrat smiled or clapped,” suggesting this reflects their approach to governing the country. Trump recounted awarding the Medal of Honor to retirees like Navy Capt. E. Royce Williams and recognizing World War II veteran George “Buddy” Taggart during the address.
In a separate State of the Union altercation, Trump condemned Democrats who remained seated when he called for protecting American citizens over illegal immigrants. Republican lawmakers stood in support, while some Democrats did not, although Sen. John Fetterman said he stood to honor guests, including veterans.
Trump made personal attacks on Hobbs, whom Biggs is aiming to replace as governor, calling her “a low IQ individual.” Meanwhile, he praised Biggs’ selection of former state Sen. Sine Kerr as a running mate for the new lieutenant governor position.
Trump also endorsed Republican secretary of state candidate Alex Kolodin, describing him as “a warrior for election integrity” while criticizing the Democratic incumbent, Adrian Fontes. In a lighter moment, Trump joked with Kolodin about his appearance, calling him “a little bit nerdy.”
At the rally, Trump acknowledged Republican figures like Reps. Paul Gosar, Abe Hamadeh, and Eli Crane, and supported congressional candidate Mark Lamb, urging voters to send him to represent Arizona’s 5th Congressional District.
The event included a tribute to Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist. Trump paid respects to Kirk, describing him as “a great friend” and used the occasion to motivate the crowd to vote in Kirk’s honor. He assured Kirk’s widow, Erika, of his support and transformed the remembrance into a voting call, saying Kirk would “be out there fighting.”
