A serious accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of Trader Joe’s near the Grove in Los Angeles. A woman in her 80s drove her car into a group of pedestrians. The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
The accident took place near the intersection of 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, they received a call at 1:21 p.m. about a vehicle collision involving a security stand. Tragically, one person was declared dead at the scene, while four others sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for medical care.
Footage captured by KTLA depicted paramedics attending to the injured. A white canopy was placed over the body of the deceased individual. Nearby, a white sedan with significant front-end damage was visible, pressed against a partially damaged structure. Emergency responders were also seen transporting an elderly woman in a wheelchair.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet released details regarding the identity of the deceased or the exact circumstances leading to the crash. Authorities continue their investigation to ascertain more information.
