A store called Four Winds Craft Guild displayed a sign stating “No Influencers.” The establishment, which has been operational since 1948, seems unaware of influencers’ significant impact on society.
The sign prompted a reaction from Paige, as reported by Page Six. “If you call yourself a feminist but proudly put up a ‘No Influencers’ sign, it’s worth asking who you are attempting to delegitimize, and why,” she commented.
Paige highlighted the importance of the creator economy, which thrives largely due to female influencers. “Brands have shifted billions of dollars into creator marketing because it consistently delivers something traditional advertising can’t,” she pointed out.
She emphasized that the changing landscape allows women to launch successful businesses without the need for corporate support. This evolution is transforming traditional advertising.
