TNA Introduces Knockouts TV Championship Tournament

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) revealed a new tournament at its Slammiversary event to introduce the first-ever Knockouts TV champion. Traci Brooks, a notable figure in TNA, shared this development with the fans in Boston. She confirmed that a 16-woman tournament will start on TNA’s ‘Impact’ show this Thursday. The newly introduced championship belt will be defended solely on television.

The tournament bracket presents a mix of newcomers and familiar faces. Contestants include Indi Hartwell competing against Vicki Venuto, Harley Hudson versus Thea Hail, Elayna Black facing Wendy Choo, and M by Elegance taking on Rosemary. On the opposite side of the bracket, Jade Stone is set to battle Alisha Edwards, Jody Threat will face Gabby Forza, Mara Sadé challenges Tasha Steelz, and Heather by Elegance will meet Allie.

The winner of the tournament will become the first Knockouts TV champion, marking a significant milestone in TNA’s women’s division. The tournament kicks off with its first matches airing Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.

In an exciting addition, Heather by Elegance will clash with Allie. Previously, the two competed at Slammiversary for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship, where Allie and Rosemary triumphed over Heather and M by Elegance. Another match features Sadé against Steelz.

Additionally, ‘Impact’ will showcase more exciting matches. Leon Slater takes on Eddie Edwards, while Ryan Nemeth faces off with KC Navarro. There is also an X Division Championship No. 1 contenders match involving Fabian Aichner, Mr. Elegance, BDE, Rich Swann, and Home Town Man.

Anticipation surrounds the appearances of new TNA world champion Nic Nemeth and TNA women’s champion Xia Brookside, along with Ricky Sosa, who will address the crowd.
