Pro wrestling star Tessa Blanchard has decided to leave Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Her request for release was approved, as confirmed by Fox News Digital.
Blanchard plans to discuss her decision further on Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre’s (CMLL) YouTube channel, where she is currently performing.
Blanchard, a renowned female wrestler, was ranked 92nd on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list last year. She achieved a peak ranking of 5th in 2019. Fightful Select initially reported her departure from TNA.
Blanchard’s wrestling career saw her with TNA from 2018 to 2020. She returned to the wrestling company in 2024 after pursuing championships with Women of Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
As a third-generation wrestler, she is the daughter of Tully Blanchard and the granddaughter of promoter Joe Blanchard. She is also the stepdaughter of Magnum T.A.
Blanchard made history by being the first woman to win the TNA World Championship. She also held the TNA Knockouts Championship during her tenure. Recently, she was associated with Victoria Crawford and Myla Moore, defeating Harley Hudson and Jody Threat in her last matches.
