Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott was inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. The event honors influential figures in media. Scott joined Fox News in 1996 and ascended to CEO in 2018 after holding various roles in production and creative leadership.

Fox News host Bill Hemmer served as one of the evening’s hosts, introducing Scott as the leader overseeing a wide range of Fox platforms including the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and more. Hemmer praised her for the success of these platforms.

A tribute video featured Lachlan Murdoch and Dana Perino, lauding Scott’s leadership and barrier-breaking achievements in media. Murdoch described her choice to lead as straightforward, emphasizing her focus on business and quality news production.

Scott expressed gratitude for the honor, crediting her success to the Fox News team. She acknowledged Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch for their support, mentioning the upcoming 30th anniversary of Fox News.

Under Scott’s guidance, Fox News Channel consistently leads cable ratings; all business units have either set records or shown consistent growth. She emphasized the company’s commitment to storytelling, creativity, and adapting to evolving audience consumption patterns.

Addressing the audience as a “proud Jersey girl,” Scott mentioned her love for the state and her family’s influence. She concluded her speech by thanking her family, highlighting her husband’s and daughter’s support.

Fox News personalities and guests, including Hemmer, Perino, and others, attended the event to celebrate Scott’s induction. Hemmer noted Scott’s visionary leadership, and Lawrence Jones acknowledged her impact on his career and the broader industry recognition she receives.

Scott’s initiatives like the launch of FOX Nation, FOX News International, and FOX Weather mark significant expansions across platforms. FOX News Books and digital and audio brand refreshes are part of her strategic growth plans.

Other inductees included CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, and chef Bobby Flay. Notable former inductees include Oprah Winfrey, Walter Cronkite, and Ted Turner.
