On Monday morning, a shooting incident occurred at a senior assisted living facility in South Los Angeles. The event took place inside the lobby, where multiple individuals were injured.
According to police reports, a worker at the facility, located near West 70th Street and Denver Avenue, commenced shooting upon arrival at work, wounding three co-workers. The attack happened shortly before 11 a.m.
In a police press conference, it was revealed that the shooter, a facility employee, initially targeted three staff members in the lobby. He then moved further into the building.
Police officers arrived at the six-story building within two minutes. They discovered the injured victims inside and apprehended the shooter on another floor. The suspect is a male in his 60s.
The injured victims include two women, one in her 40s and another in her 60s, along with a man in his 60s. All three were transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported that one of the individuals is in critical condition, although it has not been specified which victim this pertains to.
