President Trump Announces Upcoming Visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping

President Donald Trump announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit the United States on September 24. Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to be a central topic of discussion during their meeting.

Trump made this announcement during remarks at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), emphasizing his administration’s efforts to expand AI data centers. “President Xi is coming over on September 24th,” Trump stated. “We talked about it when I was over in Beijing, and we’ll be talking about it again.”

Washington must address China’s growing focus on AI as it builds an ‘AI war machine.’ It’s crucial to act before it’s too late.

Trump described AI as “probably the biggest thing anybody’s ever seen,” stressing the importance of the United States maintaining a competitive edge over China in AI technology. He asserted, “Whoever wins that race is probably going to win, period.”

The two leaders had previously met earlier this year in Beijing, where Trump extended an invitation to Xi to visit the White House.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held discussions on Wednesday, aiming to set a positive tone for Xi’s visit, according to Reuters.

The White House has not yet responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
