Roxanne Perez Earns Contender Spot
Roxanne Perez took full advantage of her opportunity at Triplemania 34 in Las Vegas. She emerged victorious against WWE’s Nattie and AAA’s La Hiedra and Faby Apache. This win grants her a shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at the Worlds Collide event.
Her future opponent will be the winner between current champion Flammer and challenger La Catalina. These two will face off in Mexico City during Night 2.
The Battle at MGM Grand
At MGM Grand Garden Arena, Perez faced intense competition. Her opponents initially teamed up against her, aiming to eliminate her from the ring. During the match, Flammer tried to intervene for La Hiedra’s benefit.
Perez managed to break through this alliance. She pushed La Hiedra into Flammer, executed her signature Pop Rox move, and secured the pin. The match concluded with a heated exchange between La Hiedra and Flammer, showcasing their conflicting strategies.
Perez’s Determination
Before the match, Perez shared with OutKick Dropkick that she recognized the challenges ahead but was committed to succeeding.
“I know that I’m gonna go straight to Worlds Collide and become Reina de Reinas champion, but also I am not underestimating every woman that is in this match,” Perez expressed.
She praised her competitors: La Hiedra’s deep AAA knowledge, Nattie’s legacy from WWE, and Faby Apache’s prominence in Lucha Libre. Perez respects these legends and acknowledges their contributions to wrestling.
Focus on the Title
Despite her busy schedule, Perez remains focused on her goals. She emphasizes the hard work she’s put into her wrestling career over the past decade.
“I’ve been waiting for one opportunity and I finally have it and I’m not gonna let it slip through my fingers,” she stated.
The next step for Perez is to await the outcome of the Flammer vs. La Catalina match, which will decide who she faces for the championship.
