President Trump has expressed his views on this election, calling Drummond a ‘fake Republican’. He criticized Drummond for avoiding a stance on the impeachment of Trump. Despite this, during the initial primary on June 16, Drummond led Mazzei by roughly 1,100 votes.
The winner of this runoff is likely to win the November election in Oklahoma. This state is known for its strong Republican leanings. Polls will close on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT.
