Network Boycott Leaves Trump Speech Unheard at Ceremony

President Donald Trump’s recent decision to exclude several news outlets from the White House resulted in an unusual situation on Monday. At a televised ribbon-cutting ceremony, his speech was nearly inaudible due to a boycott by major networks.

The event, aired by Newsmax, featured Trump at the opening of a new White House helipad. The absence of cameras and microphones normally supplied by the White House TV press pool meant his speech was not clearly audible.

There’s no microphone because the pool cameras aren’t there, a Newsmax presenter commented during the broadcast. This might be an instance of it backfiring slightly.

Trump had shared via his Truth Social account on Friday his decision to ban CNN, MS NOW, and Politico. He accused them of consistently delivering ‘FAKE NEWS’.

In response, several significant networks decided to withdraw from fulfilling pool duties to protest the ban. Bryan Boughton, Fox News Washington bureau chief and head of the TV pool, communicated this step in a memo to the White House press corps, as reported by Politico.

This story is still developing, with updates expected.
