MJF marked his return to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) with a powerful statement during the Grand Slam event in Mexico on Wednesday night. After Andrade El Idolo emerged victorious from a triple-threat match, securing the No. 1 position in the casino gauntlet match set for All In later this month, MJF made his presence felt.
Emerging from the crowd, MJF attacked Andrade with the Triple B AEW World Championship belt, also reclaiming his Dynamite Diamond Ring. This bold move left Andrade battered and served as a message to the entire AEW locker room. MJF emphasized that he and the Triple B championship represent the true title, expressing his intent to win the championship, currently held by Kenny Omega, at the upcoming casino gauntlet match.
“Next week we’re in Vegas and I’m feeling lucky,” MJF asserted. “There is a gauntlet qualifying match for the casino gauntlet match at All In for the No. 2 spot. I am going to enter that match. I am going to win that match. I’m then going to go to Wembley where I am going to dog walk that perro Andrade again.”
The winner of this match earns a contract for a future AEW World Championship opportunity. MJF previously secured victory in last year’s All In event in Texas and confronted Adam Page at Forbidden Door.
MJF did not win the title again until Worlds End in December. He temporarily lost to Darby Allin but reclaimed it at Double or Nothing earlier this year. However, Omega defeated MJF at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break in July. Absent from the scene since then, MJF now seeks to re-enter the casino gauntlet and aim for his fourth title reign.
