Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges Celebrate Married Life at ACM Awards

Lainey Wilson and her new husband, Duck Hodges, are adjusting to their married life. They attended their first major event as a couple at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. Wilson was deeply involved in the event, with nominations in seven categories.

On the red carpet, Wilson and Hodges discussed their wedding week. Wilson shared her excitement about calling Hodges her husband, while Hodges mentioned that the reality of their marriage had yet to fully sink in. They were married just a week before their appearance at the awards.

It feels like we’re turning a new page in our lives, and I couldn’t be happier to do so than with him, Wilson expressed.

Wilson, known for her role in ‘Yellowstone,’ shared a touching moment from her wedding. She joked about her surprise at seeing herself as a bride, a moment that deeply moved her.

The couple wed on May 10 at The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee. The event combined Wilson’s Louisiana roots and the couple’s relaxed relationship. They chose this venue after discovering it while driving through Tennessee’s backroads.

Duck and I were driving backroads in Tennessee and saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave, Wilson explained. Duck said, ‘You wanna get married there?’ I said, ‘Done deal.’

The ceremony reflected the natural beauty of the cave, complete with a waterfall and a peaceful atmosphere. Wilson arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, marking a special entrance.

The celebration included elements of home, featuring Cajun food and music by the Rebirth Brass Band, leading guests in a New Orleans-style celebration after the ceremony. Wilson wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown with cherry blossoms, symbolizing living in the moment.

Hodges embraced a Western theme, wearing a dark green suit and a cowboy hat. They privately exchanged vows before the ceremony to maintain an intimate experience.

Wilson and Hodges had their first dance to Muscadine Bloodline’s “10-90 (The Sound of Roses)” and concluded the night with a sparkler sendoff in an old white Ford truck.

The pair met in 2021 after mutual acquaintances arranged a blind date in Nashville. After four years together, Hodges proposed at George Jones’ former Tennessee estate in February 2025. The ACM Awards signified an important milestone, as their public debut occurred at the 2023 ACM Awards.

Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges’ wedding was a blend of personal touches and cultural significance, making it a cherished new chapter in their relationship.
