Jezebel, a well-known women-focused website, reinstated over 100 articles. This action followed a report by the Washington Post highlighting the removal of these articles, many of which had provocative headlines.
William Sagan, the publisher of Paste Magazine, which acquired Jezebel in 2023, clarified the situation. He communicated through emails on Wednesday, stating that the articles were temporarily unpublished. The reason was to correct grammar or address technical issues.
Jezebel’s decision to delete the content had sparked criticism from former staff members. The website has been a staple of feminist discourse online, making the deletion a concerning development for supporters of its historical archive.
