Jane Seymour, 75, maintains her energy through a blend of movement, moderation, and understanding her limits. She avoids yoga due to her competitive nature, preferring other forms of exercise.
The ‘Harry Wild’ star explained her fitness routine to Fox News Digital: Well, fitness, I try to do a combination of light weights, some walking, fast walking if I can, or up and down a hill. I do Pilates and Gyrotonics, or if I can’t do any of that, I do the usual thing, the sort of sit-ups and some ballet exercises,
she said.
Seymour shared that her fitness philosophy revolves around knowing her body’s limits rather than following trendy workouts. She revisits her ballet roots with full barre exercises and consumes a Mediterranean diet. This approach avoids the need to diet strictly.
Discussing group classes like yoga, Seymour admitted, I have to tell myself I am not going to win,
acknowledging her A-type personality. She listens to her body and adapts to exercises that suit her abilities.
Her dedication and approach to fitness have impressed her friend and former co-star Joe Lando, who recalls their days on ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.’ Despite long production days, even while pregnant with twins at 45, Seymour’s energy never waned.
‘Harry Wild’ Season 5 on Acorn TV brings Seymour and Lando back together. Their friendship has evolved since their early days on screen.
Seymour attributes her seemingly boundless energy to enjoying her work. When questioned about her stamina, she confidently replied, I know people keep asking me why, and I just say, because I love what I do.
