Monet Mazur’s property in Hollywood Hills experienced a home invasion on Saturday night. The incident took place close to 11:30 p.m., as confirmed by Los Angeles Police Department officers responding to a ‘hot prowl burglary’ call. Several suspects were reportedly still at the scene when authorities were notified.
According to the police, at least one individual was inside the home when the suspects attempted entry. However, they fled before officers arrived.
Home Surveillance and Witness Accounts
The actress Monet Mazur reportedly identified three individuals on her security cameras who were wearing black clothing and ski masks. The suspects were allegedly confronted by her before accessing the premises, which prompted their quick departure.
Images captured from the scene allegedly show pepper spray visible on the doormat of Mazur’s two-bedroom, $1.5 million residence. According to TMZ, the suspects triggered the alarm when trying to open the front door, causing them to escape without being confronted or stealing anything.
Police officers conducted a thorough search but did not locate any suspects. No description of the intruders is available, and there were no injuries reported.

The Role of Protection Dogs
US Army veteran Stephen Scott, founder of Scott’s K9, emphasized the importance of trained protection dogs for home security. He explained that these dogs possess heightened senses that can detect intruders long before humans do.
A protection dog in a situation of a home break-in, they’re gonna hear way before you, they’re gonna smell way before you,
Scott said, stressing that such dogs could grant homeowners crucial time during an intrusion.
Scott advised against sharing too much information online, which could inadvertently reveal homeowners’ schedules and vulnerabilities. He attributed this as a significant factor leading to increased break-ins.
