FAA Investigates Delta Air Lines Go-Around at Boston Logan

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting an investigation after a Delta Air Lines flight performed a go-around at Boston Logan International Airport. The incident occurred on Saturday when another aircraft was departing from an intersecting runway, prompting the Delta crew’s action.

According to the FAA, Delta Air Lines Flight 2351 executed the go-around at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time on June 20. The agency is looking into the circumstances surrounding the event.

A Delta spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that safety remains the airline’s top priority. The flight crew of Delta Flight 2351 followed established procedures, coordinating with Air Traffic Control, and successfully landing the aircraft at Boston-Logan.

The flight originated from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, carrying 129 passengers and six crew members onboard. During the descent, onboard systems alerted the crew to a potential traffic concern, prompting coordination with Air Traffic Control and the subsequent go-around.

Delta states that their aircraft are equipped with technology designed to notify crews of possible conflicts involving other aircraft. This technology played a role in the crew’s decision to perform the maneuver.

The flight concluded without incident, and all passengers and crew arrived safely at their destination.
