A Disneyland spokesperson confirmed that the outage affected resort operations momentarily, assuring that the team remained adaptable and focused on guest care.
City officials cited technical issues with drawing water from multiple groundwater wells. Around 75% of Anaheim’s water supply originates from these wells, with the remaining 25% sourced from the Colorado River. Reports indicated that four wells were impacted.
The water pressure issue, affecting the Disneyland Resort, was resolved around 8 p.m. local time, as reported by an Anaheim city official, who added that there is currently no ongoing concern.
During the outage, restroom access was blocked, surprising many visitors. Tiffany Christensen, a Disneyland guest, shared her experience with KTLA, noting, “It was a little chaotic, but they handled it the best they could.” Most guests acknowledged the situation was beyond Disney’s control, though some were inconvenienced.
Reactions on a Disneyland subreddit reflected varied responses, with one user sharing that their cousin reported all restaurants and restrooms were closed. Another commenter worried about potential problems if the issue persisted.
Despite the brief nature of the disruption, not everyone was content. One guest mentioned leaving the park and seeking a refund due to the water outage affecting the entire city.
