Dan Dakich Criticizes Lane Kiffin and Eagles Re-sign Zach Ertz

Lane Kiffin Criticism

In a recent episode of Don’t @ Me, Dan Dakich shared his thoughts on Lane Kiffin’s emotional postgame comments. Kiffin, after losing an intense game in his return to Oxford, seemed to shift blame onto the fanbase and make the defeat about himself. Dakich highlighted how Kiffin is often seen as overhyped, despite lacking any significant coaching achievements.

Meanwhile, Pete Golding managed to clinch a memorable victory. He kept his team focused, treating the matchup as business as usual, and secured a win that defines his career.

Zach Ertz Returns to Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed veteran tight end Zach Ertz to their practice squad. Ertz, 35, played a key role in their Super Bowl LII victory. This move came as a response to the team’s need for immediate reinforcements after Dallas Goedert suffered a sprained MCL during a win against the Tennessee Titans.

General Manager Howie Roseman acted swiftly to fill the depth chart, which was dwindling behind Goedert. Backup tight ends Eli Stowers and Grant Calcaterra are on injured reserve, leaving E.J. Jenkins and practice squad veteran Joshua Deguara as the remaining healthy options for quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Ertz, a reliable third-down conversion asset for the Eagles, previously spent nine seasons in Philadelphia. He ranks second in franchise history with 579 receptions and aims to surpass Harold Carmichael’s record of 589 catches to become the Eagles’ all-time leader.

His time with the Washington Commanders in 2024 and 2025 included 50 receptions, 504 yards, and three touchdowns in 13 games, though a knee injury cut his season short. The Eagles plan to elevate Ertz to the active roster after he regains conditioning.
