Saudi Citizens Killed in Houthi Attack
Three Saudi nationals died in an attack by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels on Riyadh’s main airport. Several others from various nationalities suffered injuries. The Saudi aviation authority disclosed that the attacks targeted King Khalid International Airport and a Saudia Airlines aircraft.

Among the deceased was Captain Hamoud Ali Alkalthami, as indicated by Saudia Group. The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia noted the varying severity of injuries sustained by those affected. The Houthis also issued warnings to global airlines about using Saudi airspace during this conflict.
Iran’s Revised Proposals for U.S. Talks
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Iran had updated its proposals for peace talks with the United States. These proposals await finalization through intermediaries. Soviet President Vladimir Putin was informed that Iran is committed to ending the conflict while ensuring Iran’s rights under international law.
Pezeshkian claimed that the U.S. continues to disrupt diplomatic attempts. Despite these setbacks, he thanked Russia for its support, particularly at the United Nations.
USS Abraham Lincoln Returns
The USS Abraham Lincoln returned to San Diego after 321 days, marking its first return in over ten months. The aircraft carrier, alongside more than 4,500 sailors, spent a substantial time in the Middle East supporting U.S. efforts against Iran.
The crew’s return prompted emotional reunions with families and friends. Sailors participated in a lengthy deployment, including over 250 days at sea this year.
U.S. Embassy Issues Warning
The U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia urged increased vigilance for Americans passing through Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport due to Houthi attacks. Americans should anticipate potential travel disruptions, including possible flight cancellations and airspace closures.
The embassy emphasized the ban on travel near the Yemeni border, with U.S. employees restricted from travel within 20 miles of it. Special authorization is now necessary for government officials traveling through the airport.
