Cristiano Ronaldo Anticipates Final Soccer Season

Cristiano Ronaldo, renowned as one of soccer’s finest players, anticipates this season to be his last. In an interview with Vogue, Ronaldo, 41, revealed that the upcoming season may mark the end of his football career.

The Portuguese icon recently married his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez. Settling down could be his new focus after an illustrious career. Currently, Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, joining the club in 2023. During his time there, he scored 102 goals in 107 matches.

Ronaldo participated in his sixth World Cup with Portugal. However, the team exited in the Round of 16 after losing 1-0 to Spain. His international career with Portugal includes 11 World Cup goals and 146 goals over 233 appearances for his country.

“I want to leave a spectacular legacy,” Ronaldo told the outlet, reflecting on his successful years in soccer.

As Ronaldo prepares for life after soccer, he mentioned, “I have my future all mapped out.” He plans to engage in various activities to fill the gap football leaves. His interests include traveling, playing padel, and enjoying the rewards of his career.

If this season is indeed his final, his last professional match would occur on May 28, 2027, with Al-Nassr’s season starting soon. Ronaldo’s career accomplishments include winning the Ballon d’Or five times, a record of 18 nominations for the prestigious award.
