Victor Marx, the Republican nominee for governor in Colorado, made headlines after a podcast episode from 2020 resurfaced. In this episode, Marx claimed he met ‘Satan in person’ through another individual. Marx, a former Marine and leader in Christian ministry, shared his experience on his podcast, ‘I’ve met the devil.’
Marx recounted that the encounter happened while he was praying for a girl in a high-security youth prison in Texas. He stated, ‘This girl started manifesting a demon,’ and noted it was so intense that other inmates, including gang members, retreated to a corner. He described the scene as ‘horrible,’ saying the demon was ‘pretty nasty.’ When he asked for its name, the response was, ‘I am Satan.’ Marx added, ‘If you think I’m joking, I’m not.’
“All of a sudden, this demon goes, ‘I guess you’re going to say I’m possessed.’ And I just started laughing,” Marx said. “I was like, ‘I don’t think I have to. It’s kind of obvious.’ This made the devil mad.”
Marx is the founder of All Things Possible Ministries, which aims to ‘set captives free spiritually, emotionally, and physically.’
Recently, Marx won the GOP gubernatorial nomination and is campaigning with retired Marine Col. George Markert. They represent themselves as political outsiders, aiming to resist the rise of democratic socialist movements across the country. Their campaign’s backbone focuses on public safety, social conservatism, and addressing the cost of living.
Marx is challenging Democrat Phil Weiser, the current attorney general of Colorado. Weiser is projected to succeed Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat who cannot seek re-election due to term limits.
