CDC Declares End to Parasite Outbreak Linked to Lettuce

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has officially announced the conclusion of an outbreak involving a microscopic parasite. This parasite affected thousands of individuals and was traced back to contaminated shredded iceberg lettuce.

The CDC highlighted a notable decrease in infection rates and confirmed the removal of contaminated lettuce from retail outlets and restaurants as main factors in controlling the outbreak.

According to a report, a truck loaded with produce was observed departing from a Taylor Farms facility located in Doctor Mora, Mexico, on July 26. This facility was among those linked to the outbreak’s source.
