Caitlin Clark continues to distinguish herself in the WNBA with impressive achievements across her first three seasons. In a decisive 109-75 win over the Las Vegas Aces, Clark reached her 600th career assist. Clark accomplished this milestone in just 72 games, breaking the previous league record.
While Clark’s performance during the Indiana Fever’s victory wasn’t extraordinary, she contributed significantly with 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Clark is managing her playtime carefully due to a back injury, which limited her to just 24 minutes on the court. Despite this, her teammates Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, and Sophie Cunningham took on major scoring roles, ensuring the Fever’s success.
Mitchell led the team with 27 points, while Boston added a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Cunningham came off the bench to score 20 points, landing six three-pointers in the process. Clark’s 600th assist occurred late in the third quarter with a precise bounce pass to Monique Billings for an easy layup. At that moment, the Fever was leading by 13 points, expanding their advantage in the final period.
Although Clark’s play is currently restricted, she anticipates a return to more extended periods of play. She expressed optimism about her condition, saying, “I feel good. Had a hard workout day after the Phoenix game. Felt great there, and then obviously, we had practice yesterday. So, feel ready to go, and excited to play 25 minutes, and excited for my spurts to be a little bit longer, so that should be fun.”
During her remarkable rookie season, Clark completed more than half of her 600 assists, totaling 337. The 2025 season proved challenging due to injuries, resulting in only 115 assists. This season, she has already achieved 148 assists and averages 7.8 assists per game, ranking second in the league behind Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury.
