Throughout the contest, Fudd took 27 shots and missed only six. Despite her success, she admitted to feeling nervous. “I only missed six shots, but I felt it was a lot,” Fudd stated. “I was nervous but excited.”

During the current season, Fudd is averaging 2.2 successful shots from beyond the 3-point line and has accumulated 53 total 3-pointers in her rookie year. Despite injuries hampering her college career, Dallas selected her first in the WNBA Draft in April.
Rehabilitation from injuries has offered Fudd unexpected gains. The frequent shooting routines during recovery refined her form, enhancing her consistency. “I practiced a lot of chair shooting and stationary shots, which improved my accuracy,” Fudd explained.
Prior to the 3-point contest, a new event debuted at the All-Star weekend in Chicago—the Shooting Stars competition. This replaced the previous skills challenge and involved four teams, each consisting of a legend, a current player, and a rising player. Team Washington emerged victorious over Team Seattle.
