Anne Hathaway Reveals Beauty Hack Behind Her Red Carpet Look

Anne Hathaway has addressed the recent speculation surrounding her appearance on the red carpet. Following weeks of rumors that she underwent plastic surgery, the Oscar-winning actress clarified that her lifted look is due to a simple beauty trick rather than a facelift.

Hathaway shared on Instagram a hairstyle technique involving two small braids near each temple that are pulled back and pinned. This method creates a naturally tightened appearance for red carpet events.

At a recent European premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in London, Hathaway opted to discuss the matter further in an interview with Elle. When asked if her Instagram video was in response to the plastic surgery rumors, she responded, “I wouldn’t say pointed. But we’re at a time when people feel very confident in assuming what they think is fact, and sometimes what they think is accurate and sometimes it’s not.”

The actress prefers to avoid engaging with public speculations about her appearance. “My preference would be to never comment on anything and to just live in the mystery and not draw attention to myself,” she explained, highlighting how persistent speculation forced her to clarify the situation.

Hathaway also expressed concern over how casually people discuss cosmetic procedures online. “These are huge medical decisions that people are presuming,” she said. To make her point clear, she explained, “I wanted to show that, like, no, I didn’t make a huge medical decision. It’s just two braids.”

Despite the current discussions, Hathaway is not ruling out future cosmetic procedures. “And by the way, the other thing about all this is, I might still get a facelift someday,” she noted.

Reflecting on her public image, Hathaway addressed her past experience during the “Hathahate” period. Despite achieving significant success, she had faced intense scrutiny, prompting her to confront her insecurities.

Looking back, Hathaway shared how fear impacted her in the early stages of her career. “One of the things about younger me is she was really scared, and I think that fear made me harsh with myself,” she told Elle. She expressed regret over potentially being harsh with others during that time.

This candid sharing from Hathaway provides insight into the challenges of managing public perception while remaining confident in personal decisions.
