Amy Schumer Shares Her Summer Transformation and Health Journey

Amy Schumer is enjoying the last days of summer while proudly displaying the results of her recent weight loss. Over the weekend, the 45-year-old comedian posted several bikini photos on Instagram, confidently posing in a vibrant two-piece near the water. These images provided her fans a look into her recent vacation.

Accompanying the photos, Schumer wrote, “I never knew there would be days like this. No filter as per ushe.” Her candid shots quickly received positive feedback from supporters. Actress Kate Walsh commented, “So beautiful, Amy. Happy and thriving,” while others simply wrote, “Gorgeous.” Such praise highlights the impact of Schumer’s openness about her health and body experiences over the last two years.

In a previous October post, Schumer shared a striking image of her weight loss. In the photo, she wore a tiny black dress and heels. She was seen with two friends at a Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas. The post prompted friends and fans to express their admiration for her journey. Comedian Anjelah Johnson said, “Okay Amyyyyyy,” and actress Isla Fisher admired Schumer’s legs with, “Those legs.”

Back in March 2025, Schumer discussed using Mounjaro, an injectable medication for type 2 diabetes, in a video on Instagram. She shared the video with her nearly 13 million followers. Schumer revealed her struggles with other medications like Wegovy due to her susceptibility to nausea. She explained trying Mounjaro after a telehealth consultation and mentioned its affordability.

She further shared her journey into using hormones like estrogen and progesterone due to perimenopause, which significantly helped her symptoms. Schumer acknowledged the trial-and-error nature of finding effective solutions, candidly discussing her experiences on “The Howard Stern Show” last year.

During that appearance, Schumer revealed a genetic disposition, GDF15, that causes nausea, explaining why she had severe sickness while pregnant. She also tried Ozempic nearly three years ago, which resulted in quick weight loss but severe side effects, including fatigue.

Schumer has consistently addressed body image and societal pressures on women’s appearances, often using humor to deflect criticism while promoting health over unrealistic beauty ideals. In February 2024, she disclosed a diagnosis of Cushing syndrome following facial swelling, which she considered a blessing as it unveiled the root cause of her health issues.

Throughout her career, Schumer has been open about medical challenges, including living with endometriosis and undergoing a hysterectomy in 2021. Her transparency aims to normalize discussions on women’s health matters.
