Alan Ritchson and his wife Catherine have announced their separation after 20 years of marriage. In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared their decision to end their marriage while continuing to co-parent their three sons.
The 43-year-old actor and his wife emphasized their commitment to maintaining a friendship and focusing on their children’s well-being. They expressed their hope for privacy and understanding from the public during this transition.
“We grew up together. We built a life and a family together. And we are raising three incredible boys who will always be the center of our world,” the couple stated in their announcement. “Nothing can diminish what these years have meant to us or the love and respect we will always share.”
The couple met as teenagers in high school, later reconnecting in college and marrying in May 2006. They have three sons, Calem, Edan, and Amory.
Alan Ritchson’s career includes roles in “Smallville,” “Blue Mountain State,” and “Titans.” His notable role in 2022 as Jack Reacher in Amazon Prime’s “Reacher” marked a significant point in his career.
He shared that his children enjoy watching “Reacher,” though he limits their viewing due to mature content in certain scenes. Despite this, he considers the show suitable for families.
