All Elite Wrestling (AEW) opened its “Dynamite” show on a somber note as the wrestling world mourned the loss of Pac, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley. Pac, aged 40, passed away on Sunday shortly after AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event.
The wrestling community gathered on stage as broadcaster Tony Schiavone delivered a heartfelt tribute. Schiavone called attention to a touching promo by Jon Moxley, which was delivered after his AEW World Championship match loss to Will Ospreay.
“I gave everything I had. I took every shot I had to the best of my ability. I have no regrets,” Moxley stated with his stablemates Marina Shafir, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and Pac by his side.
Moxley continued, sharing insights on loss and resilience. “In wrestling and life, you’re going to lose. It’s how you handle it that matters. Every day is a gift,” he emphasized. He expressed admiration for Ospreay and shared his vision for the future of professional wrestling.
Moxley concluded his emotional speech, stating, “We have the future in pro wrestling in our hands. It’s up to us to make something of it.” After the promo, Pac stood silently before leaving with the group.
As the night continued, Moxley defended his AEW Continental Championship against Orange Cassidy. He noticed a chair left in honor of Pac as he entered the arena. Moxley successfully retained the title and, soon after, was joined in the ring by Bryan Danielson. Danielson, visibly moved, shared a hug with Moxley in a moment of respect for Pac.
The tribute served as a poignant reminder of Pac’s impact on professional wrestling. His presence and contributions were honored by his peers, illustrating the deep bonds within the wrestling community.
