Jesse Watters highlights a series of bison attacks in Yellowstone National Park. These incidents include a grandfather being flung 8 feet into the air and a woman being dragged. The ferocity and speed of these large animals pose significant danger to park visitors.
One frightening encounter involved a driver’s early-morning trip through the park. A bison charged his pickup truck, leading to a dramatic collision. The video shared on Facebook shows the bison on a dark road, charging towards the vehicle and hitting its front.
The driver, Kyle Weber, had stopped his Ford Ranger upon spotting the bison near Mud Volcano at 2:45 a.m., according to Cowboy State Daily. Rather than pass, Weber halted and waited for the bison to move. However, the animal remained on the roadway and suddenly charged the truck’s front-left side.
“I slammed on my brakes and stopped, and was just sitting there watching and waiting for him to continue walking,” Weber told Cowboy State Daily.
The impact jolted Weber, pushing his truck backward about a foot and a half, denting the bumper and hood, and breaking a side marker light.
Weber intends to replace the damaged parts, seeing this as an opportunity to upgrade the truck. The dented hood may serve as a reminder of the encounter.
“I think I’ll keep it,” Weber noted. “It has a cool story behind it.” Not everyone can claim bison damage on their vehicle.
Previously, Fox News Digital reported another unsettling bison attack at Yellowstone. Carl Isom-McDaniel, visiting with his grandson, was charged by a bison at Bridge Bay Campground, resulting in four femur fractures. He underwent surgery in Montana.
A photographer witnessing the attack stated that Isom-McDaniel was focused on protecting his grandson, asking about the boy immediately after the incident.
