Shooting on CTA Bus in Englewood Injures Two

Two individuals were shot while traveling on a CTA bus in Englewood, suffering injuries during the incident late Wednesday afternoon. The victims, identified as a 57-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman, were onboard in the 300 block of West 63rd Street around 4:40 p.m. when gunfire erupted from an unidentified shooter, according to Chicago police.

The man sustained a gunshot wound to his left flank. Emergency services transported him to UChicago Medicine, where he remains in critical condition. The woman suffered a gunshot injury to her left arm. She was also taken to UChicago Medicine and was initially reported to be in fair condition.

The authorities have involved detectives from the Wentworth Area to conduct an investigation into the shooting.
