Ravens Defeat Cowboys with Last-Second Field Goal

The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens seemed destined for overtime during their game in Rio de Janeiro. Brandon Aubrey of the Cowboys kicked a field goal late in the fourth quarter to tie the game.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense disrupted those plans. With just seven seconds left, Jackson successfully completed a 27-yard pass to Zay Flowers. The Ravens quickly used a timeout with only one second on the clock. Tyler Loop then made a crucial 56-yard field goal, securing a 34-31 victory for the Ravens.

NFL analyst Rex Ryan critiqued the Cowboys defense after the game. “I can’t let Dallas off the hook like this,” Ryan stated. “They’re still the worst two-minute defense in the National Football League, by far. They don’t know how to win a game. They stink.”

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott shouldered the blame for the loss, shifting focus from the defense. “Frustrated,” he expressed through the team’s official website. “Frustrated as hell. Excuse me. Embarrassed. We don’t call ourselves the best offense, GOTI, and get down to the one-yard line and don’t put it in. Yeah, it just sucks. Not a lot of words or full explanation of it.”

Prescott added, “Defense shouldn’t even have been in that position. Those guys were over there saying ‘it’s on us,’ absolutely not. We’ve got to put the game away, period.”

With a record of 1-2, the Cowboys are set to play against the Houston Texans in Week 4.
